It's hard to imagine summer without the songs of the Beach Boys, and now you can hear those legendary tunes live from the guys themselves at the Washington State Fair in Puyallaup. One of rock music's most influential bands, the Beach Boys brought lush, complex harmonies to countless hits even before adding revolutionary orchestral arrangements to the mix, laying the groundwork for groups like the Beatles on Sgt. Pepper's. Led by founding lead singer Mike Love and Beach Boy vet Bruce Johnston, this classic SoCal surf band is set to perform hits from their ocean-deep catalog, which includes "Wouldn't It Be Nice," "Good Vibrations," "God Only Knows," "California Girls," "Help Me Rhonda," "I Get Around" and many more. Concert tickets also includes same-day admission to all the fun and food at the fair. This show is part of the Colombia Bank Concert Series.
Portland's bridges are as much a part of the city's character as The Unipiper, Voodoo Doughnut and people with earlobe plugs riding fixed gear bikes. This jet-boat tour gives you an up-close and in-depth look at a dozen landmark bridges crossing the Willamette River, each one representing a new chapter in engineering, design and the city's colorful history. Steven Tyler has one of rock's most recognizable voices. It inspired Rolling Stone to call him "one of the greatest singers of all time" and propelled Aerosmith to a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame spot. Not content to just dominate the rock scene, Tyler branched out into country music, topping the Billboard Country Albums chart with last year's We're All Somebody from Somewhere. The ever-evolving music legend teams up with his Nashville-based group The Loving Mary Band for a performance at the Washington State Fair. Expect to hear recent hit singles "Love Is Your Name" and "Red, White & You," as well as some re-worked Aerosmith classics. Plus, your concert ticket includes general admission to the fair. This show is part of the Colombia Bank Concert Series.
