This Gorge Explorer Shuttle is designed for the hiker, photographer, and explorer. Avoid the parking and traffic hassles that come with a trip to the Gorge trailheads or use the shuttle for further travel explorations.
Spend anywhere from 1.5 to five hours at any of eight trail heads or sites on the route, all selected due to their significance to the explorer.' The shuttle is non-narrated transportation to the sites and trailheads. If interested in a narrated tour, look for the half-day, narrated, Multnomah Falls and Columbia Gorge tour, which provides visits to some of the same sites.
The shuttle departs from Downtown Portland in the morning and stops at Troutdale, enroute to the Gorge's favorite sites and trailheads. It then returns to Troutdale three times during the day for additional trips through the Gorge to offer shuttles to other Gorge trail heads at 1.5- to 2-hour intervals. This enables a rider to do up to three separate hikes in one day with service at each trailhead.'
